on Academic Exchange programs "Window on America" center was visited
by a group of high school and University students to meet the representatives
of the US Embassy in Ukraine. Katie Hallock, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer,
and Victoria Mikhaylenko told
the group about exchange programs financed by the US State Department and
providing the opportunity to study in American schools, colleges and
universities. Young people learned more about the program FLEX (10 months of
training in an American high school with accommodation with host families), the
Fulbright (for young researchers) and other programs.
The event was
complemented with a book display presenting promotional materials kindly
provided by US colleges and universities.
Number of participants – 28 persons.
