Focus on the vocabulary

Today’s American Teen Club’s session (at Window on America center Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine) was focused today on lexicology. The Club’s moderator Dasha Gerasimova, FLEX graduate, suggested several linguistic games about confusing words. Dasha tried hard to explain the difference between the nouns and verbs that seem to be alike.
For the speaking activity the moderator offered to watch and discuss the video “Humans of New York”. This short film introduced the club to the multinational and multicultural population of the Big Apple.  Several mind challenging games with matches forced the group to brainstorm for the correct answers.
