Today’s session of the American Teen Club (at Window on America center Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine) was attended by a bigger number of the club members.
The session was prepared and moderated by the library volunteer, FLEX program graduate Dasha Gerasimova. After the inclement weather break the young people were glad to meet and study the English language together. The session lasted longer than usual.
For the up-coming American holiday “President’s Day” (February, 17) the WOA Center arranged a book and image display. The 2 stand exposition allowed the teenagers to learn more about the American politicians and celebrities. The club members were to select a book from the display and explain why there were interested in reading it. They were to guess the principle by which the books were arranged in the display.
The Club’s moderator Dasha motivated the club members to learn new vocabulary through funny word games.
