WOA and City Day 2013

This Saturday Dnipropetrovsk city celebrated its birthday. A lot of community organizations presented their services to the city dwellers. Window on America centre as an integral part of the DOUNB Library took an active part in the cultural fair “Libraries’ crossroad”.
To attract potential visitors we have presented numerous resources of the center: donated iPads and table game “Boggle” improved guests’ phonetics and spelling skills ; Library candies ( with new words attached to them) enriched guests’ English vocabulary.
The WOA’s Speaking Club Chairman Jeff attracted everybody’s attention with his American cowboy outfit. WOA’s Head Svitlana Usenko explained to the young visitors the basic facts about the American cowboys and the US flag. The FLEX Teen Club Leader Ann promoted our stand in a youthful way - skating around with the US Flag.
Our friend Brandon from Peace Corps dropped in to support our efforts in promoting “Window on America” among the community. We hope to have a big influx of visitors to the WOA Centre after the Library Fair.
