WOA Dnipropetrovsk continues its collaboration with local Universities within the framework of its “Discover USA” project.
On October 24 WOA centre was visited by a group of National University for Culture and Arts senior students majoring in International Tourism.
The WOA staff member T.Gavryliuk delivered a lecture on Tourism Logistics in the USA. For the organizations which are involved in tourism, efficiency is conditioned by the coordination and harmonization of all participants’ efforts from the specific activities chain: tourism services suppliers, tour-operators, travel agencies and tourists themselves. This complicated process was illustrated with the case study of a leading US cruise company. A YouTube video of the Alaska cruise was demonstrated to the students for this purpose. While learning about US tourist technologies the students discovered many facts about Alaska as a tourist destination. Several other relevant videos on logistics in tourism were demonstrated to support the topic.
The session was educational and provided the students with an insight into cruise industry operations in the USA.
Number of participants - 13.
