March is a Women’s History Month

Within the framework of the Women’s History Month WOA Dnipro’s Movie Club offered the big screening of the films about women: “North Country”, “Million Dollar Baby”, and “Julie & Julia”.

The films highlight the diverse stories of American women – from comedy about cook books to gender barrier breaking women in box and construction site.

On March, 14 “Wednesday Movie Club” at Window on America center Dnipro, Ukraine the film North Country (2005) was presented to all who wish to improve their language skills.
Plot:  A fictionalized account of the first major successful sexual harassment case in the United States - Jenson vs. Eveleth Mines, where a woman who endured a range of abuse while working as a miner filed and won the landmark 1984 lawsuit.
