Fargo

“Wednesday Movie Club”
At the Window on America center in Dnipropetrovsk the film ‘Fargo’ (1986) was presented to all who wish to improve their language skills.
Fargo is a 1996 American crime film produced, directed and written by brothers Joel and Ethan Coen.
The film earned seven Academy Award nominations, winning two for Best Original Screenplay for the Coens and Best Actress in a Leading Role for McDormand. It also won the BAFTA Award and the Award for Best Director for Joel Coen at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.
In 2006 it was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and inducted into the United States National Film Registry. In 2012, Slant Magazine ranked the film #36 on its list of the 100 Best Films of the 1990s.

Plot: Jerry Lundegaard's inept crime falls apart due to his and his henchmen's bungling and the persistent police work of the quite pregnant Marge Gunderson.
