The topic is  1 April – Fool’s Day. The topic of discussion was humor in everyday life. The club-members had an opportunity to see American humour by watching videos.

A slide show with humoristic pictures upped the mood.

Svitlana Kolesnikova:

The meeting was really very funny – hehe.  American humour is quite specific, but I liked the videos very much , we laughed a lot and couldn’t help laughing. I think that  this holiday has the right to exist. It’s good to have one day in a year to play a practical joke on somebody.

Informational hour

 Informational hour about the birthday of American (of German origin) psychologist, sociologist Erich Fromm (1900 - 1980).
The students from The National Metalurgical Academy with their teacher Alexandra Myrgorodskaya visited the Center WOA.

English Speaking club

The meeting was prepared and held by Svitlana Usenko and Svitlana Kolesnikova. The topic of discussion was Psychology, Sociology and philosophy in our life. The topic was interesting to everybody. Especially it was interesting to discuss the children psychology. The club-members who have children shared the experience of children growing-up.

Thanks to the text, everybody learnt the main facts of the Erich Fromm biography, the video about the scientist  impressed everybody.

The meeting was prepared and held by the head of WOA Svitlana Usenko and Svitlana Kolesnikova.

English Speaking Club

The Center was visited by 5 foreign quests from Brazil (Jassika, Robson Corvalho), Portugal (Joao Teixera), Egypt (Bahaa Hussain), Poland (Karolina). All of them are members of AIESEC – the biggest International non-govermental organization in the world, that provides young people with opportunities to develop leadership, professional and personal traits for positive influence on the society.

The conversation was dedicated to International Woman’s  Day. It was interesting to learn the history of this holiday in the USA and modern traditions of its celebration in different countries.

Small book exhibit responded the question “Woman is…”.

The men of Speaking Club congratulated  the club’s women with the International Woman day.

The atmosphere  was so pleasant and friendly. It was so interesting to listen to the stories told us by foreigners.  We had  a nice possibility of communicating to educated people from  different countries. The participants  told us about the  AIESEC organisation in other countries. The young man from Egypt  who has been working in  AIESEC for 7 years informed us about the advantage of his work . Then the participant from Portugal told us about his experience of visiting another countries There were also  international students from Brazil and Poland. We were discussing the traditions in celebration of International Women  Day. It was interesting to know that in Portugal men present flowers only for their beloved women, at work they give women only chocolate. We had wonderful time practicing of English.
